General Conditions

It was a surprise to find more climbers at Clear Creek than Bunny Flat (05.16 ). The road is passable with a 4wd, and the snow patches that remain are getting smaller each day. The trail to the spring is approximately 50% snow patches and 50% dirt. The big cornices formed near the treeline are still 8-12' deep in places.  Dry camping and running water are available near 8,500 feet. Please help to protect the spring area. Do not camp or trample. Snow coverage diminishes above treeline and with wind exposure.
