Snowpack Observations

Details

On a tour to the Gray Rock Lake Snow Survey (just below Scott Lake), we observed mostly firm conditions near and above treeline. Snow surfaces on aspects exposed to direct sun were a mix of firm crusts, thin moist snow, and deep wet snow. Creeks around Methodist Camp were still filled in.

  • 2020 - HS: 57 in; SWE: 21.5; % of Normal: 45
  • 2018 - HS: 38.5 in; SWE: 15.5; % of Normal: 38
