Avalanche Gulch

If you are seeking skiable snow, you'll have to get above treeline. Ski with caution everywhere, but especially below treeline where coverage is variable. Some skiers have received core shots from rocks lurking in shallow snow. Expect shallow conditions around rollovers and moraines above treeline. Decent sliding conditions can be found. Coverage is great for climbing. Snow is softening up particularly on southerly facing slopes. Temperatures reached 55 degrees near 8,000 ft today.
