Snowpack Observations

Details

  • Castle Lake area hosts one to three feet of snow.
  • Rocks and bushes are poking through in several places.  
  • Ice on the lake is frozen and supportable, though weak along the edges of the shore. 
  • A light breeze kept the surface snow mostly firm, although solar aspects saw some modest softening during afternoon hours.
