Snowpack Observations

Details

Toured up to 8,100 feet near Horse Camp cabin.  Saw the following conditions:

  • New snow mixed with wind blown snow 1 inch per hour.
  • Strong to moderate SE winds
  • Ski penetration 2-6 inches (5-15 cm ) 
  • Air temperature 22-24 degrees Fahrenheit
  • New snow was collecting in depressions and small drifts above old semi supportable MF crust
