Toured up to Helen today. HS there ranged from 95cm-200cm. Ski quality was variable, but good wind packed powder in Climber's Gully. We then worked over to Giddy Giddy and dug a pit on a south facing aspect at 8300' . We found 6 cm of new light density snow above a 4 cm P hard Rime (?) Crust. Test results produced CT12 RP (x2) about 20 cm down from the surface on preserved stellars and decomposing fragments. The 20181214 Rain Crust was found about 40 cm down. Similar ski conditions were found in Giddy as in Avalanche Gulch. Lower Giddy Giddy skied well with smooth light density snow on top of a semi-supportive crust.
