In a shaded area in the Park's Creek zone, we experienced whumphing sounds in a flat meadow. Column tests yielded notable and consistent failures about 24 inches down within a fist hard faceted layer:

• CT4, CT8 SC ↓ 24 in (62 cm)
• ECTP15 ↓ 24 in (62 cm)

Widespread surface hoar 1-2 inches deep was seen in the area.
