Observations on southeast aspect of Coyote Butte:

  • Height of snow (HS): 355 cm (140 in)
  • Height of storm snow (HST): 51 cm (20 in)
  • Long shooting cracks in wind affected areas
  • Column tests indicate storm slab problem, consistent failures below breakable crust down 70 cm (28 in):
